SS2023: Scientific Methods and Writing

Welcome to the Scientific Methods and Writing course!

Writing is a challenging and important skill, whether related to studies, work or everyday life, and the scientific process is the foundation of academic work. Considering most of you come from different places across the globe and have different education, work and life experiences, this is an attempt to give us an overview of a few fundamental skills before the semester begins.

This survey ought to take around 10 minutes, and will help us learn about the background experience you have related to writing and the scientific process. The more you share, especially in the free-form comments, the more we can adjust the content to fit the gaps in experience or prior knowledge.
